We had been struggling to find a vendor for our portable generator maintenance. Everywhere we looked, you needed to bring the generator to a small engine spot or they only worked on specific brands. However, we found Residential Generator Service recently and, after a great chat with Marc, had our first maintenance visit today. Marc was extraordinarily professional, knowledgeable, personable, and prompt. It was an absolute pleasure and we cannot endorse them highly enough for all generator needs.

HAD THE OPPURTUNITY TO MEET MARK TODAY........ALL I CAN SAY IS IF ALL BUSINESS MEN WERE AS PROFESSIONAL AS MARK WAS TODAY THIS WORLD WOULD BE IN A WHOLE LOT BETTER SHAPE THAN IT IS NOW. MARK INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND WENT RIGHT TO WORK, THE WHOLE TIME ASKING ME TO EXPLAIN TO HIM WHAT WAS GOING ON......HE METHODICALLY ISOLATED THE SYSTEM , CHECKED FOR VOLTAGE AND EXPLAINED THE FIRST STEP WAS TO FIND OUT WHY THE GENERATOR WAS NOT SEEING 120 VOLTS HE FOUND 2 OUT OF 3 FUSES BAD. HEPLACED THEM AND CONFIRMED POWER AT THE CONTROLLER, BUT...THE CONTROLLER WAS NOT SEEING THE 120 V HE EXPLAINED HE TESTED THE BACK OF THE CONTROLLER TO ONCE AGAIN VERIFY 120 V HE THEN SAID THE CONROLLER IS NOT RESPONDING AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED....THE MINUTE HE INSTALLED A NEW CONTROLLER, THE GREEN LIGHT CAME ON HE SWITCHED IT TO AUTO MATIC, THE GENERATOR STARTED, WARMED UP JUST LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO IT KICKED THE POWER BACK ON COOLED DOWN AND SHUT OFF READY TO RESPOND TO THE NEXT POWER FAILURE.
I KNEW NO ONE AT RGS, I TOOK A SHOT AND CALLED THEM.....NOT KNOWING WHAT OR WHO TO EXPECT. AFTER TODAY, MEETING MARK AND THE AMAZING SERVICE HE PROVIED, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.....IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY GENERATOR AND NEED SERVICE, CALL RGS AND ASK FOR MARK, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

Tom was fantastic! He was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and kind. He figured out our generator issue that was actually due to an electrical issue, and set us up with a proper maintenance plan going forward to keep our generator in top shape. Would highly recommend!

Our generator didn’t come on with a power outage and we called and got an emergency appointment. He immediately identified and explained the problem and made the repair. We’re now customers for all maintenance calls. Thanks

Tom is a super guy, he and Mark work well together. When Tom had a problem, he called Mark. I'm bummed because I may need a new carb on my generator. I should take the engine apart, polish the heads, popup pistons tuned exhaust and a large carb. Lol Seriously though, GREAT company. Thank you gentlemen.
Second visit after parts arrived, I learned some things about the unit, particularly that I was turning it off wrong, yes, there is a right way. Anyway, today Marc and Tom were both here, really great people. You get some repair people that and are all business. Not the case with RGS. Both super friendly and knowledgeable, which, let's face it, is the most important part. They're a great team, job done efficiently and quickly. Thank you gentlemen. I'll see you again.

We had a visit today for a generator PM. As always, Tom and Marc were friendly and professional. Did a full test on the system, shut power off in the house, generator ran flawlessly. Thank you gentlemen.

Another visit from RGS 3 days ago. Same professionalism, always friendly. That day it was 99, I think. 2million% humidity, Tom just trudged on, got the job done. Love this company!

Marc and Tom of Residential Generator Svc arrived on time in the stifling heat and immediately diagnosed the issue with our 22KW standby generator. The rear spark plug had completely popped out of the motor causing a significant reduction that would not support the transfer from house to generator and visa versa. Corrected the situation with new plugs, filter, tested unit back and forth at the power box in the house. All good, well done! Dennis O’
