Tech arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and had the generator running within 30 minutes. Have used the their service twice and will continue to use them in the future.

Responsive and professional. I like that their prices are on their website with details for each plan. Scheduling was super easy. I also like that they specialize in generator maintenance. We had just had our generator installed by a different company, and Electrician. But when Tom came out to set us up for a service contract, the generator had already stopped working, and he discovered that it did not have a neutral ground and the battery had died. So in addition to setting us up for our service contract, he made those repairs. Overall great service and fair prices.

Power at my home was out for 2 days. Have a Genarac generator. It quit late last night. Called RGS for service. They were here in an hour. Repaired the generator. We called this company for a generator replacement quote and Marc came out within just a few hours! The price was reasonable so we went ahead and hired them for the job. They ordered our generator and came back a few weeks later for the installation. Just 4 hours later, the new generator was up and running. Zach from RGS came to perform our annual generator service on 4/1/26. The overall experience was similar to RGS's two previous visits: stellar! Zach notified us when he was about 30 minutes away and arrived right on time. He let us know when he was about to start and would check back in when he was finished. During the process, he took photos of the unit to document the system status, as well as his maintenance steps. In less than an hour, Zach finished the job and gave us a verbal summary of the work he performed. Throughout the entire process, Zach was courteous and professional. As I indicated in my previous review, RGS is the most dependable and reliable generator servicing company that I have worked with since installing the generator over ten years ago. They should be your go-to for all generator service and repair. It is very difficult to find companies that are dedicated to generator repair and maintenance. It is even harder to find reliable, knowledgeable technicians who meet expectations. Residential Generator Services (RGS), and its owner Marc, exceeded both challenges! I contacted RGS through their website and Marc called me back within a few hours. I briefly described the issue with my generator (Generac 22kw) and Marc indicated that it was an issue that he felt comfortable diagnosing and repairing. Within 90 minutes of arriving at my house, Marc adjusted the valves (cause of primary issue), performed annual maintenance, updated the operating system software, replaced the battery and the oil sensor, fully cleaned the inside and outside of the unit, and tested the transfer switch. It is like a brand new generator! If you are having any kind of issue with your generator, and reliability and great service is important to you, RGS is the company you should call.

Switched to this company after a few years of poor service with another and couldn't be happier. Today, after nearly 2 feet of snow, our generator had an issue and didn't fire up. I called Marc, who put me on the schedule and came out within 2 hours. Unfortunately he couldn't get to my home due to the snow but we stayed in contact, he even waited a bit to see if a plow would come. Since they didn't he went to another job and immediately came back again and got us up and running since the road was cleared by then. Tom and Zach were very knowledgeable and reassuring. They made the necessary repairs and we agreed on a “ test run” day and time. Yesterday I heard it running so I knew it was back in working order.

I was having generator issues and with the cold weather was concerned I would lose power and heat. When I called and spoke with Mark he was most understanding. We had been struggling to find a vendor for our portable generator maintenance. Everywhere we looked, you needed to bring the generator to a small engine spot or they only worked on specific brands. However, we found Residential Generator Service recently and, after a great chat with Marc, had our first maintenance visit today. He brought the new parts that were needed and fixed the generator. This was a tremendous relief since the generator was looked at by two other companies and we got no results. HAD THE OPPURTUNITY TO MEET MARK TODAY........ALL I CAN SAY IS IF ALL BUSINESS MEN WERE AS PROFESSIONAL AS MARK WAS TODAY THIS WORLD WOULD BE IN A WHOLE LOT BETTER SHAPE THAN IT IS NOW. MARK INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND WENT RIGHT TO WORK, THE WHOLE TIME ASKING ME TO EXPLAIN TO HIM WHAT WAS GOING ON......HE METHODICALLY ISOLATED THE SYSTEM , CHECKED FOR VOLTAGE AND EXPLAINED THE FIRST STEP WAS TO FIND OUT WHY THE GENERATOR WAS NOT SEEING 120 VOLTS HE FOUND 2 OUT OF 3 FUSES BAD. HEPLACED THEM AND CONFIRMED POWER AT THE CONTROLLER, BUT...THE CONTROLLER WAS NOT SEEING THE 120 V HE EXPLAINED HE TESTED THE BACK OF THE CONTROLLER TO ONCE AGAIN VERIFY 120 V HE THEN SAID THE CONROLLER IS NOT RESPONDING AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED....THE MINUTE HE INSTALLED A NEW CONTROLLER, THE GREEN LIGHT CAME ON HE SWITCHED IT TO AUTO MATIC, THE GENERATOR STARTED, WARMED UP JUST LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO IT KICKED THE POWER BACK ON COOLED DOWN AND SHUT OFF READY TO RESPOND TO THE NEXT POWER FAILURE. I KNEW NO ONE AT RGS, I TOOK A SHOT AND CALLED THEM.....NOT KNOWING WHAT OR WHO TO EXPECT. AFTER TODAY, MEETING MARK AND THE AMAZING SERVICE HE PROVIED, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.....IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY GENERATOR AND NEED SERVICE, CALL RGS AND ASK FOR MARK, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WSM
